Dr. John Atere, DDS

Dr. John Atere is a board-certified orthodontist who is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized, patient-centered care. He believes orthodontic treatment is about more than straightening teeth. It’s about building confidence, improving oral health, and creating smiles that last a lifetime.

Originally earning his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Towson University, Dr. Atere went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Howard University College of Dentistry. He then completed his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Roseman University, where he also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Dr. Atere enjoys creating individualized treatment plans and utilizing the latest orthodontic technology to deliver exceptional results for patients of all ages. His goal is to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and excited throughout their smile journey. Building lasting relationships with patients and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of his career.

Outside the office, Dr. Atere enjoys staying active, exploring advancements in technology and artificial intelligence, creating digital content, and pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. He also loves spending quality time with his wife, Ferow, whether they’re trying new restaurants or relaxing with a favorite movie or TV show.
