Dr. Jaleesa B. Dandridge, DMD (Goes by Dr. Bright)
Dr. Jaleesa Bright Dandridge, affectionately known as Dr. Bright, is a dedicated and compassionate dental professional with a passion for helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. A native of Carthage, Mississippi, Dr. Bright graduated Salutatorian from Thomastown Attendance Center before earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry with the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude from Alcorn State University. She went on to obtain her Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, where she later completed her dental degree.
During dental school, Dr. Bright was nominated and awarded the Bradford A. Gordon Memorial by her peers, honoring her perseverance through challenging times. Shortly after graduation, she expanded her clinical expertise with rigorous orthodontic training through Gerety Orthodontic Seminars.
Dr. Bright began her career at Smilebuilders, Incorporated as a sole provider in Lucedale, MS—where she treated medically complex patients with skill and care. She provides a full range of services, including orthodontics, simple restorations, molar root canals, dentures, crowns, bridges, partials, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, whitening, wisdom tooth extractions, and pediatric dentistry. Looking ahead, Dr. Bright will offer implant placement and Botox therapy to bring even more comprehensive care to her patients.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Bright enjoys writing poetry and literary works, reading, lyrical dancing, watching football, and volunteering with youth programs. She has been married for 15 years to her husband, Vernon Dandridge, and is the delighted mother of three children—Josiah, Aidan, and Johanna.
